By using chematic.io or the chematic software (Python, Rust, and JavaScript/WebAssembly packages, and associated tools such as chematic-mcp), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
License to use
chematic is dual-licensed under the MIT License and the Apache License 2.0. You are free to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the software under the terms of either license. See About for the full license reference.
Acceptable use
You agree to use chematic.io and the chematic software only for lawful purposes. You must not use them to:
- Process or distribute data in violation of applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
- Transmit malicious code or interfere with the operation of any systems
External services
The optional name_to_smiles MCP tool connects to PubChem. Your use of that service is governed solely by PubChem's own terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for any third-party services.
Disclaimer of warranties
chematic.io and the chematic software are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that they will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements. See Validation for known limitations and maturity levels of specific features.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, chematic.io or the chematic software, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
