Is this a real chemistry simulator?
It models a curated set of real, kid-safe reactions as accurately as an abstracted game can. It is not a full thermodynamic or kinetic simulation. Each reaction explains what the game simplifies.
Does it collect any data?
No. There is no account, server, or analysis of what you mix. Your discovery notebook is saved only in your browser's local storage.
Is it safe to try these at home?
This is a simulation, not an instruction manual. It deliberately never shows real quantities, concentrations, or procedures. See the safety notice too.
What does “not modeled in this game” mean?
It means Chemica Detective has not authored a specific reaction for that combination, not that the substances never react in real chemistry.
